Marketing Assistant/Copywriter

Administrative Responsibilities:

Supports all marketing department staff by performing all necessary administrative functions, including reporting, and handling website maintenance.

  • Reporting: Expense reporting, weekly and monthly performance reports, market research, competitive analysis as requested
  • Marketing Assistance: Marketing projects as needed, including proofreading, fulfilling requests for information, research, coordinating production on selected marketing projects
  • Website maintenance: Including proofreading content, uploading web content and collateral to the Evision website, making changes upon request, recording and responding to website leads as appropriate
  • Email Marketing: management of email lists and template creation, newsletter production
  • Other duties and assignments: as required

Writing Responsibilities:

Writes for advertising and marketing materials, including print and online, brochures, case studies, proposals, presentations, and content created for syndication across web and social channels.​

  • Content development: across multiple media channels for use in digital marketing. Work under the direction of the Director to creatively translate data into compelling advertising messages for print, and interactive projects
  • E-marketing Support: Experience delivering copy that supports SEO objectives
  • Revisions: Word process and edit copy until “final”
  • Self-Management: Meets copy deadlines, or secures advance approval from the Director if additional time is needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • ​Superior communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, WordPress and MailChimp preferred
  • Knowledge of social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube preferred
  • Knowledge of basic HTML preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; experience may substitute for education.
